Roy Boucher
Frank
Roy moved to the Greater Palm Springs area in 2009. He very quickly joined Andy Harmon's Writers Studio. Fast forward to today, and Roy has written dozens and dozens of short plays, written and produced nine micro shorts, acted in six independent films, did background for the Hallmark film, Sister of the Bride and for the trailer for Slippery When Wet. All of Roy's micro films can be viewed on YouTube. Other passions include pencil coloring and Tarot.
Andy Harmon
Director
Andy is a playwright, director, and teacher. He has had productions in the USA and Europe, and his writing includes the plays Freud’s Golem and La Comedia (with Boel Larrson), and the book Change Journey: Voices of the Creative Quest. Trained in improv by Viola Spolin, he has a BA and MFA from Brandeis University and has taught acting and improv internationally. He co-founded Leadership Consultants Actor’s Mind, working with clients like McKinsey, Oracle, and IBM. His films include The Virtuoso, and he restored and edited the recently discovered Actor Aid material from the Live Aid YouTube channel.
Nicholas Hosking
Production Manager
Nicholas worked as an engineer, salesperson, and computer programmer before becoming an actor in commercials, soaps, TV shows, and films. He won several awards for The King Speak, his parody of the King’s Speech. Now semi-retired, he was delighted when director Andy Harmon asked him to put his engineer’s hat back on and create a 3-sided green screen for Frank and Harry. He was also a production assistant on the series.
Jurgen Wolff
Writer and Harry
Jurgen Wolff is a scriptwriter who got his start writing for sitcoms like Family Ties, as well as TV movies and the feature film, The Real Howard Spitz, starring Kelsey Grammer. His nine books include Your Writing Coach, Your Creative Writing Masterclass, and Creativity Now. He has taught writing at USC and for Raindance. He divides his time between London and Palm Springs. He says Harry’s good qualities are based on himself, whereas Harry’s less attractive aspects are based on other people.
Constance Cilva
Sally, Frank's sister
Constance, currently living in the Palm Springs area, has performed off-Broadway, in regional theatres, and in cabaret. She has inhabited the iconic roles of Bloody Mary, Cousin Nettie, and numerous other characters over many years of performance. While living in Hawaii, she released a single, Honey Colored Boy. She has participated in short films, including a short entitled “37,” for which she received Best Actress from the Venice Film Festival. It can be viewed on You Tube. She appreciates all the writers who still write roles for women of a certain age as if they still had a brain.
